Birthdays!
Hello my darlings!
I just celebrated my birthday last weekend, and I had the best time.
First, I participated in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Reading at Replay Lounge in Lawrence, Kansas. If you know me, you know that I LOVE Replay Lounge. It's a dive bar that's a lot of fun, so you can sometimes catch me hanging out at one of their “early” shows. It's usually $5 admission, and you can get cheap drinks and enjoy great music!
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Reading was arranged by a former professor of mine who invited me to come read. Each reader got to share a story for three minutes or less (the length of a song). My reading was from my next Sweet Nightmares story. (If you haven't start this series, you need to! Start now!)
Saturday was spent having lunch with my kiddo, watching a movie with my other son and his friend, and then watching Clue with the whole family! Of course, I spent some time reading and writing, as well!
I hope your weekend was as wonderful as mine, and I hope you're just as excited for autumn as I am!
